In May 2011, IMCS Panama, which operates locally under the name of Penta Surveys, joined the IMCS Group to ensure representation in the Caribbean area. The office locates in Bella Vista, close to the Panama Canal and Panama International Airport, from where different ports in the Caribbean can easily be reached. 

After his seagoing career with the Belgian merchant navy, the managing owner of the company, Mr. Bjorn Claeys, has mainly worked in the Caribbean area as from 2001.

At the present moment, IMCS Panama is mainly involved in ship inspection work for prospective buyers, shipping companies and shipbrokers. This work is supplemented with occasional survey and consultancy work for cargo interests.
